Bill Hoesch

October 21-26, 2025

Bill came to Jesus Christ for salvation as a 28-year old professional geologist with a 7.5 year career in oil exploration behind him. Concepts such as plate tectonics, biological evolution, and radioisotope dating were very familiar to him, but had always been interpreted through a grid of particles-to-people evolution and its attendant timescale. That soon changed. With no Bible training, he suddenly found himself amazed at passages like, “…those who worship the Father must worship in spirit and truth,” in which our Lord placed a high premium on truth. Soon, Bill found that the old interpretive grid of evolution, along with its attendant timescale, could not withstand skeptical inquiry and instead stood on something other than science. Free to embrace a recent creation and worldwide flood, Bill went on to earn a Master of Science in geology from the Institute for Creation Research, a year as missionary in communist China, followed by 16 years working at the Institute, where research and outdoor education became his love. He has held teaching positions in Christian colleges, seminaries, and ministries, and led dozens of educational field trips to Grand Canyon and other destinations. For the last 4 years he has served as the Director for the Mount St. Helens Creation Center in Castle Rock. Please learn more about our ministry at mshcreationcenter.org. It is our conviction that the historical truths of Christ as Creator, Judge, Redeemer, and coming King are foundational to true saving faith.

Come hear Bill speak at one or more of the events happening the week of October 21 – 26, 2025 at various locations in the Treasure Valley!

Headless sauropods, measurable C-14, soft tissue in hard bone, contorted burial postures, extreme sedimentology, and worldwide extent—the data of science argues against fantasies of slow burial seventy million years ago. Forensic evidence indicates a violent, rapid burial—the kind that one might expect from a global flood.

Grand Canyon, the supposed showcase for millions of years, tells a very different story under close inspection. The science behind its steep walls, layered rocks, and crystalline basement are best understood in the light of a recent creation and world-destroying flood.

Come and learn why Mount St. Helens is by far the best open-door for reasoning about the biblical truths of a recent creation and world-destroying flood. We will relive the drama of the eruption, its aftermath, and how the scientific community was shocked!

Am I ultimately a bag of chemicals that came together by chance, or am I “fearfully and wonderfully made?” The stakes have never been higher for this question. The fossil-, genetic-, and biblical-records all agree: man never passed through an ape-stage, but is God’s image-bearer, lovingly made, and poised for greatness.

There is free admission for all of these speaking events, and all ages are welcome! An offering will be taken to help defray costs.

Coloring pages and crayons will be available for the little ones at the back table. Additionally, a fossil table will be available for viewing in the back of most of the events.

We would love to see you there!
